New Enhancements in Greencube Terminal Software by OZ9AAR: Version 1.0.0.92

Carsten Grøn, known in the amateur radio community as OZ9AAR, has released version 1.0.0.92 of the Greencube Terminal software. This update brings several noteworthy enhancements, focusing on improved logging accuracy, user interface customization, and expanded satellite support.

Key Updates in Version 1.0.0.92:

  1. Improved Logging for AX.25 Satellites: The new version addresses an issue where the SSID (Secondary Station Identifier) was not logged correctly with the callsign when logging a contact from an AX.25 satellite. This fix, suggested by KK4YEL, ensures that all components of the callsign are accurately recorded, enhancing the logging process’s precision.
  2. User Interface Enhancement for CQ Calls: A new setting has been introduced, titled “Color all CQ calls even if call and grid worked before.” When enabled, this feature will highlight all CQ calls in the traffic window, even if the call and grid have been previously worked. This change, inspired by feedback from JF6BCC, reverts to a functionality reminiscent of pre-1.0.0.91 versions, making it easier for operators to identify active CQ calls.
  3. Addition of SONATE-2 Satellite: The latest update also includes the addition of the SONATE-2 satellite, which operates on AX.25 protocol at 145.825 MHz. This expansion allows users to track and communicate via another satellite, broadening the scope of the software’s capabilities.

These enhancements reflect OZ9AAR’s commitment to continuously improving the Greencube Terminal software based on user feedback and evolving satellite communication needs. For more details and to download the latest version, visit the Greencube Terminal program page.
